Among coffee drinkers the average consumption in the United States is 3.1 cups of coffee per day.
In 1999, 47% of the population, equivalent to 108 million Americans, were drinking espresso, cappuccino, latte, or iced/cold coffees, as compared with 1997, which showed 35% of the population, equivalent to 80 million Americans, consume these types of coffee beverages - An Increase Of 28 million Specialty Coffee Drinkers In Just One Year.
